Role: System Engineer Location: New Hertfort, NY (Onsite) Duration: 1+ YearJob OverviewWe are seeking a skilled CCNA MCSE System Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of network infrastructure and system administration, ensuring optimal performance and security of our systems. This role requires a proactive problem solver who can collaborate effectively with various teams to support our growing technical needs.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain network infrastructure and server systems.Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and related Windows Server services.Monitor network performance and implement improvements as needed.Ensure system security through regular updates, patch management, and vulnerability assessments.Provide technical support and training to staff on systems and network issues.Document network configurations, system changes, and support processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and projects.Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance system capabilities.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).Certifications:CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)Experience:5+ years of experience in system engineering, network administration, or related field.Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, and cloud technologies.Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.SkillsStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills.Excellent understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCPIP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
