Job Type Full-time Description The Director of Warehouse Operations will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day aspects of the warehouse operations in California. This role manages the efficient and safe operation of the warehouse, including the receipt, storage, retrieval and shipping of goods. Ensures compliance with health and safety standards, security of the building and stock, and optimal arrangement of goods within the warehouse. The Director of Warehouse Operations oversees the productivity and performance of the warehouse staff, and provides training and guidance as needed. You also will assist with customer service, order processing, inventory control, and returns management. As a leader, this role ensures the smooth functioning of our logistics and distribution processes, optimizing efficiency and driving productivity. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong operational background and a proven track record of managing large-scale warehouse operations. Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping/receiving. Lead and mentor a team of warehouse managers and supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve warehouse performance, such as inventory accuracy, order accuracy, and on-time delivery. Collaborate with other departments, such as supply chain, transportation, and procurement, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of operations. Drive initiatives to enhance safety standards and promote a culture of workplace safety among warehouse staff. Manage warehouse budget and resources including temporary staffing agencies effectively, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining high service levels. Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting warehouse operations, and implement best practices accordingly. Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and innovation to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Requirements Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field Proven experience (10+ years) in warehouse management or logistics operations, with a track record of success in leading large teams and managing complex operations. Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift based on warehouse needs -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and drive results. In-depth knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management best practices, and industry standards. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety standards governing warehouse operations in California. Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies is a plus. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities Onsite Work 5 days a week in our warehouse located in Lebec, CA California Pay Rate $90,000 - $125,000 We strive to hire and nurture amazing talent.
