Facilities Maintenance Technician I Location: Livonia MI 48150 Duration: 12+ months with high possibility of extension or FTE Shift: Monday to Friday (7:00 am to 3:30 pm) (Some Saturday if needed) Job Description: ***MUST have Hand tools, wrench's, screwdrivers, etc.*** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Job Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Technician I will perform general maintenance such as plumbing, carpentry, office furniture assemblies, heating ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) routine inspections, and groundskeeping. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide facilities maintenance support such as plumbing, carpentry, door hardware, office furniture assemblies, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) routine inspections. • Perform minor groundskeeping and equipment troubleshooting. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (required): • High school diploma or equivalent level of education. • Minimum six months' facilities maintenance experience or equivalent in class instruction. • ble to solve practical problems and diagnose basic plumbing, electrical and equipment malfunctions (such as a tire machine or vehicle hoist). • ble to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measurement, including fractions. • Good verbal and written communication skills. • Basic skills in the use of power and hand tools. • Basic power and hand tools required, with tool list to be provided upon hire. • Basic computer skills to enter information into a work order system and research repair • methods as needed. • Good driving record and reliable transportation. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (preferred): • Skilled in the use of a forklift and scissor lift. • General maintenance experience.
