The Assistant Director of Engineering provides support to the Director of Engineering in directing the daily maintenance operations for exterior and interior of the physical facility. Responsible for supervising the Engineering and Grounds department. Supports and implements policies and procedures for the staff set forth by management. Performs administrative duties including but not limited to: employee scheduling, payroll scheduling, overseeing disciplinary action, interviewing new hires and/or transfers, and staff safety and development training. Maintains open communications with the Director of Engineering, Resort and/or General Manager, staff, and guests. Ensure the upkeep of all guest and service areas and to maintain them in proper working order and appearance. Maintains all standards, guidelines and required compliance with regulations. Provides quality customer service while assuring clean, safe, and well-maintained front and back of house areas. Proficient in MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Exceptional proficiency in both oral and written communication, coupled with the capacity to inspire and drive a team. Minimum Requirements Minimum five (5) years' experience in the capacity of Engineering Supervisory role of a full-service hotel or multiple properties. Engineering degree (BS), Certified Engineering Operations Executive certification, or any other combination of education, training, or experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job. Working knowledge of all trades required and complete understanding and practice of Engineering SOPs. In-depth knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems, carpentry, paint, and vinyl expertise, and Life Safety Systems. Knowledge of ADA, OSHA and environmental requirements of EPA, CFC, toxic waste, recycling, and engineering SOPs. Must be able to work flexible hours. Come Work Here! Compensation & Benefits: $73,000 - $80,000, with potential for adjustment based on factors such as an applicant's skills, experience and/or education.
