Job Description

Location: Chicago, IL Hospital: RUSH University Medical Center Department: Research Computing Work Type: Full Time (Total FTE between 0.9 and 1.0) Shift: Shift 1 Work Schedule: 8 Hr (8:30:00 AM - 5:00:00 PM) Summary: This position identifies and analyzes user requirements, recommends appropriate applications or modifications, and provides support for all applications and systems identified within the team's Application Portfolio. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures. Preferred to have knowledge of any of the following applications: OnCore/Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS), Huron Research Suite (ClickCommerce), faculty management system/Profiles, LabArchives, FreezerWorks, Key Solution's electronic Animal Research Module, Cayuse, Info-Lawson ERP, EPIC, Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap), Advarra. Working experiences with creating details reports, metric dashboards, pulling KPIs, and visualization using PowerBI and Tableau; maintaining data warehouse, Microsoft Azure, data lake, ETL, data pipeline, ADF, SDLC, strong knowledge of writing complex SQL queries, Visual , JAVA, Apache Tomcat. Other information: • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field. • 4 - 7 years of system analysis and/or application support experience. • An Associate degree and five (5) years of relevant experience will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's. • Experience with application configuration tools. • Experience evaluating and interpreting end user information requirements, and to developing appropriate systems and/or applications solutions. • Experience recording, tracking, corresponding, and documenting resolution of user problems by means of problem reporting database software. • Ability to develop technical documentation for training, software/hardware use, user procedures, and as-required project deliverables. • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. • Analytical, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities: Responsibilities: • Experience with a functional grouping of modules/applications and their inter working relationships with other modules/applications/systems. • Participates in requirements analysis sessions and able to develop design specifications for reports and application configuration. • Participates in process workflow sessions and develop workflow maps. • Investigates user problems and needs, identifies their source, performs troubleshooting and problem solving, and determines possible solutions. • Analyzes user project proposals to include identifying potential problem areas and recommends optimum approaches for project path. • Identifies tasks and levels of effort for the implementation of solutions. • Assist in system unit testing, integration testing and regression testing for enhancements, new functionality and upgrades. • Reports task activity and status to management. • Identifies, resolves and escalates project and operational issues. • Provides information to Education content developers as needed to support training activities. • Able to provide instruction to end-users. • Other duties as assigned.
