For additional information about Artivion, visit our website, Position Responsibilities: Support month-end close by processing and monitoring fixed and intangible asset requests, transfers, disposals, and gathering and approving lease contracts entered into leasing software in a timely manner according to company policies Post depreciation and amortization entries on a monthly basis for specified entities Prepare monthly lease entries and distribute globally according to tight closing timelines Maintain detailed records of fixed and intangible assets and leases, including maintenance of general ledgers, subledgers, and account reconciliations Review journal entries and account reconciliations related to asset management and leases as assigned Coordinate and participate in periodic fixed asset counts Perform periodic reviews of global fixed assets and leases to ensure appropriate US GAAP accounting treatment is followed, record adjusting entries, capitalize costs as necessary, research significant variances, and provide training and guidance to internal users Prepare complex monthly, quarterly, and annual asset and lease schedules Track construction in progress assets to completion and review potential obsolescence of fixed assets Perform analysis on newly signed leases to determine type of lease, coordinate update of interest rates for significant lease renewals and review setup of new leases in system software Assist Tax department with property tax information and other various Tax compliance requests and schedules related to fixed and intangible asset management Assist SEC Reporting department with preparation of fixed asset and lease specific accounting research memos and complex analyses for external reporting Perform annual reviews and updates to controls and narratives for Sarbanes Oxley documentation, support quarterly and annual audits, and perform annual walk throughs of fixed and intangible assets and lease processes and controls Provide support to FP&A team for capital budget updates and preparation of lease expense budgets Lead initiatives to streamline asset and lease accounting processes and reporting Other Ad Hoc projects and duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor of Business Administration - Accounting 3+ years asset accounting required; 3+ years accounting experience required, International accounting experience preferred Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently Clear understanding of US GAAP and ability to apply this knowledge Intermediate to Advanced skills in full Microsoft Office suite Superior organization skills with an ability to maintain to-do lists and stick to tight deadlines with frequent interruptions Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work with individuals across the business Positive attitude with a "get it done" and "can-do" mentality Additional experience with accounting system and leasing software is a plus MAcc, MBA, and/or CPA is a plus
