Benefits: 401(k) Competitive salary Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance JOB DESCRIPTION · We are looking for Sr. Manufacturing Engineer or Project Manager with advanced knowledge and experience developing Vehicle Body Systems Manufacturing Processes on-site at client manufacturing facilities in Ohio and Michigan · The BIW Manufacturing Process Engineer or Project Manager will be responsible for developing Body Shop Manufacturing processes, sequence of operations, weld equipment, Robotics, Automation, tooling, and material handling. · Support process and tooling design, providing technical expertise to engineering teams, review tooling designs, process flow, and zone layouts · Manage fabrication, construction, integration, commissioning, plant installation, successful launch, and continuous improvement of Body Shop equipment and tools required for the production of high-quality assemblies at Vendors' facilities and on Site at Manufacturing plant(s) · Proved Engineering Support and Leadership during the equipment installation phase on Site at Vendors' Fabrication hops and Clients' Manufacturing Facilities · Lead source in providing technical directions to and oversight of outside vendor sources · Work closely with engineering resources, clients, fabricators, vendors, and plant personnel. · Attend remote, video conference, and in-person meetings. · Travel to build shop and manufacturing facilities as required · Review CAD Drawing and do design reviews · Assist with various schedules and Timelines, providing input and direction REQUIREMENTS · Minimum of 10 + years of Vehicle Manufacturing Body Systems Process Engineering Experience · Minimum 5+ years' experience in leading or managing major OEM projects including new product launches providing technical direction and leadership on Body Process manufacturing processes (welding, dispense, throughput, as examples) or body shop tooling vendor leadership · BS with a major in engineering highly desired or equivalent training/experience · Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel) · Knowledge of CAD Systems and MS Project is a big plus · Work from Client Locations in Metro Detroit and Ohio as well as from home. · Must be able to travel up to 50% when required. Travel will be in Michigan and Ohio Flexible work from home options available.
