Job Description

The Engineering Operations Manager will lead all engineering activities and foster a culture of continuous improvement within our distribution center. This role is crucial in working with the Industrial Engineering (IE) group, Facilities, and Operations teams to enhance process efficiency, uphold labor standards, and drive cost-reduction initiatives. The Manager will also play a key role in the development and implementation of projects and strategies across all divisions. Responsibilities: Leads an Engineering team of 5-7 Team Partners to effectively manage department processes. Constantly analyzes operational sequences, material flows, and project information to determine the most efficient functions and responsibilities, providing solutions for cost reduction and quality improvement. Oversees direct reports engaged in product measurement, inspection, and testing activities to ensure quality control and reliability. Drafts and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency. Collaborates with Operational support to develop preferred methods and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), and production goals for the operation. Qualifications Requirements: Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field. Five or more years of related Industrial Engineering experience, with a strong background in managing teams. Experience with best-in-class Labor Reporting Systems & Labor Management Systems. Experience with OSHA compliance, ISO , and Lean Methodology a plus. Experience and knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Strong leadership and communication skills that encourage strategic thinking, innovation, and action. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as to work well with a team for a common goal.
