Senior Quality Inspector Job Number: Category: -MFG & Supply Chain SBU Description: Job Title: Senior Quality Inspector Location: New Britain, CT 06051 Area Code: 860, 203, 413 Pay Rate: $32.00-39.00/hour Employment Type: full time, direct job with full benefits Shift: 1st Position Description: We are seeking a Quality Inspector to perform final inspections, in-process inspections, and First Article Inspections. The role involves evaluating parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications, supporting the manufacturing process, and providing direction to other inspectors. This position requires strong attention to detail and proficiency with inspection tools, adhering to the Quality Policy and AS 9100 requirements. The Quality Inspector will report to and receive daily direction from the Quality Manager. Core Responsibilities: * Strong comprehension of blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). * Proficient in using inspection tools such as micrometers, indicators, and comparators. * Complete all required paperwork, including inspection reports. * Ability to create mold casts to check ID dimensions. * Identify both dimensional and visual defects. * High accuracy and attention to detail are critical. * Perform First Article Inspections, in-process, and final inspections. * Must be knowledgeable of aerospace specifications and requirements. * Perform other duties as required. Qualifications: * Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding dimensional symbols. * Ability to identify visual defects. * Proficient in using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and CMMs. * Experience with various inspection reports. * Strong organizational and teamwork skills. * Adhere to document control standards. * Epicor experience is a plus. * Experience inspecting Pratt & Whitney parts strongly desired Belcan provides a competitive pay and benefits package.
