Job Description

Job Function  The Human Resources Manager is responsible for partnering with management to lead the firm's strategic and compliance HR functions. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: payroll & benefits administration, employee relations, training, learning & development, performance management, onboarding, policy design and implementation, and employment law compliance.   Professional Responsibilities   Human Resources  Administer various human resource plans and procedures for all personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; maintains the employee handbook Process bi-weekly payroll and retirement plan contributions  Coordinate benefits administration, including open enrollment, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees Coordinates with third-party vendors to oversee administration of profit-sharing plan and health savings plan Maintain company organization charts and the employee directory   Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals   Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems  Provide historical and comparative benchmarking information related to performance management, salaries, benefits, and trends in the industry Monitor the performance evaluation program and revise as necessary Participate in staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars as requested   Maintain human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database  Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations  Talent Management   Assist with new employee orientations and other onboarding/offboarding procedures.  Work with departments to develop, implement and maintain mentor program   Support departments to develop and deliver annual performance management cycle  Coordinate employee relations counseling with firm management Process H-1B applications and respond to requests for information Recruiting Collaborate with Senior Recruiting Coordinator and Department Heads to understand the firm's recruiting needs and assist, as necessary Promote the firm and open positions using social media and other channels  Personal Responsibilities  Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis, along with directly educating the department Follow and promote CDH Core Values and Five Star philosophy Maintain and expand knowledge base in area of expertise Ability to operate independently and "self-manage" projects  Sound administrative skills. Well-developed management skills  Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively in writing and make internal presentations on HR topics  Qualifications   Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resources or related field  4+ years of experience supervising and managing teams   SHRM-CP preferred   Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel and Teams  Working knowledge of Office functions including Excel Pivot Tables and mail merge to Word  Previous experience administering and working with payroll and HRIS systems  We are an equal opportunity employer.
