Job Description

Overview:Our client is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Strategy Analyst to join the Office of the COO. The ideal candidate will have a background in investment banking, bringing a strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and operational efficiency. This role will involve working closely with the COO and other senior leaders to drive strategic initiatives and improve overall fund performance.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of market trends, competitor strategies, and investment opportunities to support strategic decision-making.Operational Improvement: Collaborate with operational teams to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains, ensuring optimal fund operations.Performance Monitoring: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track fund performance and operational effectiveness, providing insights to senior management.Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations for the COO and executive team, summarizing findings and recommendations from analyses.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments including finance, compliance, and portfolio management to align strategies and ensure cohesive execution of initiatives.Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements that could impact the fund's strategy and operations.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.Experience: 3-7 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or a related field with a focus on financial analysis and strategic planning.Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable munication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior stakeholders.Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg), and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint).Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.The Equus Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer and takes pride in maintaining a diverse environment.
