Paralegal | Complex Litigation | Mid-Size Law Firm | Chicago, IL Our prestigious midsize litigation law firm client is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced paralegal with 5 plus years of complex litigation experience for their Chicago office. This paralegal will partner with attorneys to help manage all aspects of the litigation process, including pleadings, discovery, trial, post-trial, and appeal. The firm has a friendly and collaborative work environment and offers a two day per week remote work option for added flexibility. Our client is offering a competitive salary and benefit package. Please send your resume to Scott Fischer: :Assist with preparation of pleadings and discovery in federal and state court matters and arbitration proceedings.Analyze, review, and organize documents from data from materials produced during discovery; and preparecoordinate document production and responses to discovery requests.Trial and arbitration preparation; preparation and management of trial exhibits and other trial related assistance.Prepare initial drafts of routine filings and discovery documents.Conducting legal research, including but not limited to Westlaw and Pacer research.Document discovery and factual research and analysis.Cite checking and assistance with motion preparation.Document drafting, filing, and coordinating production.Gather, prepare, and index documents, and draft pleadings and affidavits.Familiarity with, understanding of, and ability to work with attorneys on litigation matters.Maintaining files and file plete special projects as assigned.Other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS:Attention to detail, self-motivation, dedication, accurate, and conscientious.Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.Ability to work on several projects concurrently, multi-task, and meet deadlines.Proficiency in relevant technology, including:Filing systems: PACER, Illinois eFile, etc.Legal research: Westlaw, LexisNexis, etc.E-discovery platforms: RelativityFile management tools: iManageDocketing and case monitoring toolsOffice Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:The following will also be required of the successful candidate:Excellent writing skillsStrong organizational skillsStrong attention to detailGood judgmentStrong interpersonal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAble to work harmoniously and effectively with othersA self-starter who desires to show ownership and commitment to the jobAble to preserve confidentiality and exercise discretion.
