About the role The role of an Equipment Operator includes operating mini excavator, locating equipment, and product support equipment. Must be familiar with industry standards, policies, guidelines, and procedures. What you'll do Operate the mini excavator efficiently. Prep job and machine so that can be performed safely. Pothole all utilities that will either be paralleled or crossed during the bore shot. Verify existing utilities. Locate the right joystick to operate the boom and bucket curl. Locate the left joystick to operate direction of the excavator. Be sure to set engine speed and adjust stabilizer bar using the machine's control levers. Before the excavating is started, ensure all utilities have been located. Be aware of slopes, uneven areas, and of the environment and changing conditions that could impact your work. Inspect and maintain job equipment. Perform other duties as required and/or assigned. Qualifications CDL Class A license Preferred. Precise hand-eye coordination. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to perform operator level troubleshooting and maintenance equipment. Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less, with the ability to judge distance and space relationships. Ability to identify and distinguish colors of utility flags and markings on the ground. 3 or more years of experience. Ability to clearly communicate instructions to assist with training. Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test (illegal and legal substances) The pay range for this role is: 25 - 35 USD per hour (Oregon)
