Site Attendant Job Reference Number: 24126 Employment Type: Full-Time , Onsite Segment: Community Meals Brand: Trio-Community-Meals State: Oregon (US-OR) The Role at a glance: We are looking to add an energetic, friendly Site Attendant to our Trio Community Meals team in Newport, OR. As a site attendant, you will have the opportunity to manage the day-to-day operation of a meal site. This position will assist with coordination of all meal related activities including volunteer training, community relations, record keeping and fund-raising. What you'll be doing: Directs the receiving, holding, and serving of all foods following proper health and sanitation procedures, and Meals on Wheels policies as outlined in the Meals on Wheels Meal Site Managers Standards Manual. Monitors quality, appearance, and menu adherence of food. Plans and coordinates support service activities with advice and assistance from participants and the Meals on Wheels Program Supervisor. Responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere in the dining room, including decorating, hosting/greeting, party planning, etc. Maintains meal site records and prepares meal site reports on computer. Trains, delegates, and supervises volunteers to perform, efficiently and effectively, a variety of duties. Arranges and directs the process for meal delivery for homebound persons, including planning delivery routes and training volunteer drivers and kitchen help. Oversees and monitors collection and deposit of contributions. Participates in staff meetings and other training events. Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor. What we're looking for: Graduation from high school or equivalent and minimum two years experience in a volunteer or paid supervisory position, plus experience in working with older adults; OR a satisfactory combination of equivalent education, training and experience which demonstrates knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the job. Knowledge of and ability to operate, a personal computer. Ability to work independently, diplomatically, and handle multiple projects and a high volume of work. Ability to exercise good time management skills in order to accomplish both daily tasks and on-going projects. Ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift and carry large pans of hot food. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate and prioritize work. Possession of a Valid Oregon Drivers License or have the ability to obtain reliable transportation in order to travel throughout the three-county area. Must obtain a Food Handlers permit within 30 days of employment. Must successfully complete a criminal background check. Compensation: The pay rate is $18.50/hr.
