Job Summary The role of the Production Manager is to lead the manufacturing operation and ensure quality products are produced safely, according to an accurate and timely schedule while continually seeking out productivity, efficiency and cost improvements. He or she must continually be working toward improving performance in the areas of safety, people, process and equipment in support of providing an improved internal and external customer experience. Job Responsibilities Promotes a safe work environment and ensures safety is communicated and enforced at all levels of responsibility within the production team Responsible for direct management of Production Supervisors Leads the successful day-to-day operation of a non-union aluminum fencing production operation, with approx. 250 total indirect reports working a 24/5 schedule Strives for continuous improvement and operational excellence in personnel, processes, and the effectiveness of the overall operation Drives problem solving and root cause analysis to understand gaps in performance and acts to correct identified issues Responsible for ensuring the facility is appropriately staffed to safely achieve production metrics Responsible for Supervisor development, providing the support and tools to achieve their full leadership potential Coaches direct reports and constantly looks for ways to improve performance As a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, drives overall facility performance and team work through collaboration Communicates and collaborates with the Product Development team to coordinate the effective implementation of new products, processes and equipment Work with Plant Controller and PM to establish, and aid in the production of, an appropriate set of KPI's and metrics to report on performance Work with the Planner/Scheduler to ensure a consistent and efficient flow of product throughout the entire production processes Ensures adherence and compliance to any legal and statutory safety and operating standards Must be willing to work outside typical hours to ensure engagement of supervisory team and consistent application of process and procedure Any other tasks as may reasonably be assigned Job Requirements Bachelor's degree with concentration in engineering, business, or other related discipline 5 years of experience as an Operations Leader, with a proven history of progressive roles and achieving metrics within an organization Demonstrated capability to improve production processes using continuous improvement tools Demonstrated leadership experience on a diverse team with proven experience in holding team accountable while creating a positive work environment SAP experience greatly preferred Root Cause/Corrective action understanding, and expertise required Strong commitment to employee engagement Ability to be on-call as needed to support production off-shifts and/or issues that arise Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.and wear all required PPE What CRH Offers You Highly competitive base pay Comprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programs Group retirement savings program Health and wellness programs A diverse and inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotion About CRH CRH has a long and proud heritage.
