Ring's End, Inc. is seeking a determined part -time Gate Guard in Niantic , CT to work 3 to 4 days a week in order to keep our retail operations running smoothly. Responsibilities: Guards entrance/exit of Lumber Yard to confirm all items leaving the grounds have properly invoiced (purchased) which includes matching material on purchase ticket to items loaded on vehicle. Directs visitors and truckers to various parts of grounds or buildings. Inspects outgoing traffic to prevent unauthorized removal of company property or products. Performs customer service tasks and assist other yard employees and truck drivers in performing their assigned tasks Handle lumber, plywood and other building materials as needed to place material in stock Maintain lumber stacking and keep all areas of the yard clean.
