We are hiring a full-time Clinical Therapist (Social Work) in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a fantastic sign-on Bonus and Relocation Package! The Floater Therapist provides a full spectrum of clinical services within the scope of his/ her/their licensure. This position is expected to fill in for other employees when needed or may be called upon to assist in bolstering services at a specific location. These services range from mental health therapy to case management. The Floater Therapist is responsible for providing the highest possible care to every client served. This role can be complex as therapists must navigate between varying interests compounded by the fact that placement at a facility is temporary. For example, while client advocacy and rapport must be priorities, consideration must be given to the interests of funders, legal entities, and other stakeholders. Given the nature of this position, it requires a high degree of flexibility & adaptability and strong collaborative skills, as therapists work with various teams, including treatment teams and legal entities. The Floater Therapist assists the Directors of Substance Use Disorder Treatment Services and Program Manager(s) in other administrative tasks and works in concert with the priorities of the Senior Management Team, the Executive Director, and the Board of Directors. Strong interpersonal boundaries and a clear understanding of ethical responsibilities are necessary for this position. The overall goals of this position are to (a) provide high-quality care for clients, (b) provide a high level of customer service for funders, clients, and other stakeholders, and (c) provide support for the clinical and administrative teams. Example schedule: Monday through Thursday, 9-hour days. In assessing clients, uses relevant clinical skills including administering assessment tools, performing interviews, gathering sensitive information, performing diagnostic interviews, maintaining rapport, writing assessment information according to protocols, and communicating with relevant parties (e.g., clinical team, funders). Uses the American Society of Addiction Medicine's Patient Placement Criteria (ASAM PPC-2R) in recommending client service levels and in formulating treatment plans. Uses the Utah Web Infrastructure for Treatment Services (UWITS) database to enter clinical assessment, billing, and client information. Completes admissions responsibilities in a timely manner including administrative work relevant to helping clients enter treatment.
