The Mechanical Assembler position is responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems used in aerospace and defense products. This role involves working with precision tools and equipment to ensure high-quality standards and adherence to engineering specifications. Key Responsibilities Assembly Tasks: Assemble mechanical components according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions. Use hand and power tools to fit, align, and secure parts. Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Conduct functional tests on assembled components to ensure proper operation. Quality Control: Inspect parts and assemblies for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues, making necessary adjustments or repairs. Maintain accurate records of assembly processes and quality checks. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to resolve technical issues. Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and address any concerns. Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies. Skills Knowledge and Expertise Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is preferred. Experience: Previous experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry. Familiarity with precision machining and assembly techniques. Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency with hand and power tools.
