Nightwing is supporting a U.S. Government customer to provide support for onsite intelligence support to civilian Government agencies and critical asset owners who experience cyber-attacks, processing various threat reports to determine appropriate course of action, recommend responses, and coordinate effective counteractions. Contract personnel assist to characterize threat actor methods of compromise, document all aspects of the activity, research indicators of compromise, and assist in coordinating interagency responses. Nightwing is seeking a Cyber Action Officer to support this critical customer mission. Responsibilities: - Support management of cyber incidents through various reporting channels. - Create and maintain detailed summaries of cyber incidents in official systems of record, to include case management systems and ticketing. - Coordinate with internal and external Customers, Partners and Stakeholders. - Ingest, validate and evaluate information to determine optimal courses of action, to include providing response support to requesting entities. - Update and track historical records of open engagements to ensure accuracy, timeliness, reliability and consistency. - Draft summaries of ongoing operations and provide oral presentations for various levels of Senior Leadership. - Maintain knowledge objects in system of record as needed in compliance with customer standards. - Support teams that apply risk management and protocols to evaluate risks and prioritize responses based on National Security Strategies (e.g., NCISS). - Support teams performing network security monitoring and/or security operations analysis, system administration, operating system hardening, cyber hygiene techniques, and cybersecurity defense policies, procedures and regulations. - Perform duties within SCIF, 5-days a week at customer site. Required Skills: - U.S. Citizenship - Must have an active TS/SCI clearance - Must be able to obtain DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) Suitability - 7-9 years of directly relevant experience in Threat Intelligence and Cybersecurity Operations - Knowledge of Intelligence Community reporting standards; familiarity with classified data handling and markings - Knowledge of general attack stages (e.g., foot printing and scanning, enumeration, gaining access, escalation of privileges, maintaining access, network exploitation, covering tracks, etc.) - Knowledge of different operational threat environments (e.g., first generation [script kiddies], second generation [non-nation-state sponsored], and third generation [nation-state sponsored]) - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Demonstrated ability to perform common managerial and clerical duties sufficient to aid in data requests Desired Skills: - Knowledge of incident response and handling methodologies - Familiarity with basic operating system hardening techniques, Computer Network Defense policies, procedures and regulations - Highly organized and able to simultaneously track multiple high-profile events Required Education: BS Incident Management, Operations Management, Cybersecurity or related degree. The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
