Description Performs professional accounting work including the examination, analysis, maintenance, reconciliation, and verification of financial records; preparation of financial reports ; develops and implements new accounting systems; prepares all related financial reports; Monitor and maintain financials related schedules, i.e. Fixed assets, amortization, and prepaid; interface with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders i.e. vendors and consultants as needed, and performs related duties as required. Ad-hoc reporting on various data points as requested by the CFO; Primarily accountable for the results relating to: month-end close; management financial statement reporting; annual audit support; bank reconciliations; fixed assets management; work with CFO and staff accounting clerk to maintain general ledger; work with Receivable clerk to ensure the integrity of Rock RMS, our Donor Management system, and its reporting, and ensuring that these results are appropriately reflected in the General Ledger. Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA a plus 5+ years experience in public accounting and/or the non-profit sector accounting Strong knowledge and experience with accounting principles and GAAP Standards Proficient in Microsoft Excel including VBA Knowledge of accounting software and system; experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and critical analysis Ability to Supervise 1 - 3 employees Strong business instincts, able to quickly identify problems, synthesize a variety of factors to make effective and practical decisions, and develop an appropriate course of action.
