The Data Entry Clerk reports to the Supervisor Data Entry Clerk with accountability for providing excellent service for those who have been victims of disaster and for restoring property and lives with a servant's heart. The Data Entry Clerk is a part-time non-exempt office administration support role (20-25 hrs/week). Their primary focus is aiding with entering data from various source documents into the computer system for storage, processing, and data management purposes, as well as performing additional office administrative tasks. The Data Entry Clerk will contribute to the overall administrative functions and goals relating to subcontractor compliance. This role reports to the Subcontractor Compliance Manager. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES for the Data Entry Clerk : Enter data from source documents into SAGE Store completed documents in designated locations Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external customers via email Sort, process, and scan mail Collaborate as part of a team to achieve established goals Pay close attention to detail in all aspects of the job Protective handling of sensitive information May be required to run reports in SAGE software for subcontractor compliance confirmation/updating May be required to process subcontractor compliance packets when needed Comply with data integrity and security policies All other duties as assigned COMPETENCIES: Highly detail oriented Information collection and management Planning and organizing Respectful of confidentiality Ability to work under pressure Communication skills; comfortable with telephone communications LANGUAGE SKILLS : The Data Entry Clerk must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrate the ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and the ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of organization in the English language. TECHNICAL SKILLS : To perform this job successfully, the Data Entry Clerk should have knowledge of industry related software be able to "touch type" and be familiar with software like Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.); able to communicate via cell phone and appropriate apps. REASONING ABILITY: The Data Entry Clerk should possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. They should also have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form in the English language.
