Internship Overview: This position provides design support to the Adult Design department across all imprints. The design intern will have the opportunity to learn the process of making books and will be involved in various points in the process. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with an interest in book design and more exposure to the visually creative side of publishing. Key Responsibilities: Reviewing passes/proofs with the designers, making text edits, formatting printer templates, preparing paperback covers and ARC's, and providing overall design support for the design team. The intern will also attend weekly design meetings with the department. Qualifications : Strong knowledge of Creative Cloud: Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator Strong typesetting skills Proficient written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, work both independently and collaboratively.
