Diesel Technician - Class BDiesel Technician - Class B Job Title: Diesel Technician - Class B Company: Performance Foodservice Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician - Class B to join our team. As a Diesel Technician - Class B, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and overhauling all company fleet diesel equipment to ensure a safe operation for associates' usage and ensure compliance standards are met. Key Responsibilities:Perform preventative maintenance of medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and convertor dollies under minimal supervision. Identify root cause of basic failuresconditions and perform repairs as required. Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration prior to being deemed as "roadworthy". Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system. Install, replace, and repair onboard computers. Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition. Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery. Train and provide guidance to other Mechanics. Requirements:High School DiplomaGED or Equivalent 3 - 5 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience Experience in refrigeration, electrical troubleshooting, and electronic component repair About Us: Performance Foodservice is a leading broadline distributor of food and related products to the foodservice industry.
