ASAP Start Date Remote Contract Role About Our Client We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Revenue Accounting and Billing team. Reporting to the Director of Revenue Accounting, you will play a vital role in managing billing, revenue, and cost of goods sold (COGS) accounting processes across our software and product lines. Job Description Manage monthly client billing and revenue accounting processes for the Software product line. Assist in processing supplier bills for US and international subsidiaries. Record month-end revenue accruals, COGS journal entries, and intercompany transactions. Conduct thorough balance sheet account reconciliations and financial data analysis for accuracy verification. Review client and supplier contracts to ensure compliance with accounting standards. Resolve client and supplier inquiries and support needs promptly and professionally. Collaborate across business units to address operational needs and identify process enhancements. Support external audit requirements and internal process documentation efforts as needed. Monitor internal controls, policies, and procedures. Cross-train within the Finance team to share knowledge and improve processes. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. 3+ years of accounting experience. High-energy team player with the willingness to easily adapt to change and meet tight deadlines. Solid communication skills and commitment to excellent customer service. Acute attention to detail and strong analytical and organizational skills. Desire to continue to grow and to automate and streamline manual processes. Proficiency in or ability to quickly learn enterprise accounting and customer relationship management software (NetSuite and Salesforce preferred). Excellent Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, XLOOKUP, macros, etc.). What's on Offer CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred. Public accounting experience. Prior knowledge of ASC 606 and software revenue recognition. Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, etc.).
