Fusion Health is seeking a bright, motivated, and outgoing Associate Data Engineer to join our EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) team! This role will provide assistance with a multitude of projects that will enhance the team's success. This role will provide assistance with a multitude of projects that will enhance the ED team's success, such as: Design, build, document, maintain, and troubleshoot interfaces that facilitates data exchange between the Fusion technology platform and third-party systems Leverage interface standards (e.g. HL7) and scripts (Javascript) to build workflows and bi-directional interfaces between systems Maintain existing integrations - ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness Perform root cause analysis and propose effective solutions to optimize, refactor, enhance, configure, and monitor existing integrations Document, maintain, and own technical artifacts, internal knowledge base, best practices, and templates for all integrations Facilitate, or participate in, meetings with clients, internal stakeholders, and external stakeholders Understand specifications and requirements for the development/enhancements of interfaces and other types of data exchange, including but not limited to HIE standards and OP interfaces Protect the integrity of code: creating, submitting, and utilizing tests Work with Project Managers to manage the successful completion of deliverables and adhere to project deadlines You could be a great fit if... We look forward to reviewing your application if you have the following qualifications and experience: 4+ years of experience working in a healthcare IT domain building and maintaining healthcare interfaces Must have Interoperability Standards experience having worked in a production/development function in a healthcare setting. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline. Understanding of healthcare systems & healthcare industry Proficiency with MS SQL, developing stored procedures, functions, and views Talented with Mirth Connect or other Healthcare Integration Engine Familiarity with common structured or delimited file formats (CSV, XML, JSON, etc) Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) Familiarity with data transfer methods (sFTP, HTTP, TCP, SOAP, REST, etc) Experience with Javascript or other scripting language Familiarity with healthcare integration workflows (Demographics, Pharmacy, Lab, and Radiology interfaces, etc.) Able to work independently, able to succeed in a fast-paced agile environment Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Atlassian suite: JIRA and Confluence Proactive analytical problem solver, who can work both collaboratively and independently. You are able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. Additional Details: This is a remote, full-time, salaried position. Our normal hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Eastern or Central time zone. (Mountain time zone or Pacific time zone residents would need to follow ET or CT times). This position is also available as an on-site/hybrid role at either of our office locations (Woodbridge NJ or Topeka KS). Local candidates to either office be considered for on-site/hybrid candidacy; the FT Remote option is available only for out-of-state applicants.
