The Special Events Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of exceptional service and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for attendees during all corporate, incentive groups and all special social and wedding events. This role involves coordinating event logistics and maintaining high standards of customer service. The Special Events Manager works closely with the hotel sales team, event planners, vendors, and clients to ensure that service operations align with the event's objectives and meet or exceed customer expectations. What you'll do: Event Planning: Collaborate with the leadership team to define event goals, objectives, and themes. Develop comprehensive event plans, including timelines, budgets, and resources required. Responsible for increasing sales volume by developing key relationships with new accounts while prioritizing delivery of outstanding client experiences. Budgeting and Financial Management: Create and manage event budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets. Track and report on expenses and revenue to evaluate event profitability. Venue Selection and Logistics: Identify suitable event venues and negotiate contracts. Coordinate logistics, such as catering, audiovisual equipment, transportation, and accommodations, to ensure a smooth event operation. Vendor Management: Source, select, and manage vendors, suppliers, and contractors for event-related services. Develop and maintain strong relationships to secure favorable pricing and quality services. Marketing and Promotion: Develop and implement target segment action/territory plans to promote events and increase attendance. Collaborate with the marketing team to create event materials, including invitations, websites, social media campaigns, and press releases. Program Development: Create event programs and agendas, including keynote speakers, panel discussions, workshops, and entertainment. Coordinate with speakers and presenters to ensure their needs are met and their participation is well-organized. Remain current and knowledgeable of latest industry trends and developments. Arrange and conduct site inspections for clients while providing customized prop Engage in regular community outreach and attend local networking events while maintaining an immersive presence in the local and regional hospitality industry. Evaluation and Reporting: Conduct post-event evaluations with the Director of Events to assess event success and identify areas for improvement. Prepare reports summarizing key metrics, attendee feedback, and recommendations for future events. Who you are: 3+ years in event management, preferably in the hospitality industry Proven experience in planning and executing successful special events Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders Exceptional organizational and attention to detail abilities Budgeting and financial management skills Proficiency in event management software and tools Knowledge of marketing and promotional strategies Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required The Global Ambassador is an Equal Opportunity & E- Verify Employer.
