Engineers work closely with the design, supply, specifying, and construction communities to effectively select, produce, place, and use ready-mixed concrete utilizing current and emerging technologies. We seek individuals who are passionate about applying their technical skills to solve challenges ranging from simple to complex.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Provide assistance and support to our Engineering Service Center (ESC) on requests for design, materials, pavement, and concrete construction recommendations.Lead and facilitate training and certification activities with team members in nationally accredited programs.Assist regional Promotion Directors with technical marketing, development, and education activities.Support members through technical assistance and troubleshooting for applications, concrete production, materials, construction, and post-construction issues.Actively engage with national, state, and local materials committees on current concrete materials research and new innovations.Maintain and update technical documents to stay current with industry trends, publications, standards, and specifications.Required Education, Knowledge, and Skills:Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.Basic knowledge of concrete and materials technology in design, production, and construction; experience in concrete materials or a construction background is a plus.Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to achieve this once eligible.Strong communication skills with the ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong technological skills.Advanced decision-making and problem-solving abilities.Physically fit for construction site visits and capable of managing trade shows.Outgoing, personable, and professional demeanor.Ability to work effectively in a close and dynamic team environment.Valid driver's license with the ability to travel statewide, including occasional overnight stays.
