Job Title: MPI Sales Manager Job Type: Exempt Report to: President Summary: The primary responsibility of the Sales Manager will be to prospect, build lasting relationships, respond to requests, and provide quotes to customers. The Sale Manager will have high involvement in customer relations, distribution, new product identification and development. This person will need to have a direct aggressive sales/marketing program to achieve budgeted sales volume at maximum profit with minimum expense. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop strong product knowledge of MPI products and capabilities Collaborate with the manufacturing team to create an exceptional experience for the customer Evaluate and implement special projects as needed to increase MPI revenue Initiate frequent customer contact to develop and expand customer accounts Develop a base of customers for future sales Maintain a database of clients through CRM system (HubSpot) Proactively networks for new customer contacts with intentions of building long-lasting relationships Collects, analyses and reports to the President competitive information and market trends and participate in forecasting, pricing, and budgeting processes Acts as a liaison between MPI and customers to facilitate and enhance working relationships to ensure customer needs are met Responsible for achievement of planned revenue, account development and implementation for all products Timely follow up with potential leads Cold calling to develop leads and documenting those leads Attend trade/technical shows as needed Be able to travel including overnight stays Attend weekly mandatory meetings All other duties assigned Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Finance or relevant degree Experience: 1 year of sales experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of: Computer skills Strong presentation skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Problem solving and organizational skills, including time management, prioritization, and multitasking Ability to: Be self-motivated Work independently with little direction Work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines Must be able to establish good working relationship with many individuals Travel Frequently (75%) Preferred Qualifications: Previous sales experience in machining, welded steel, or any other manufacturing sales or outside industrial sales experience preferred Bilingual in Spanish and English Physical Requirements: Exposure to characteristic machining site danger Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift or move 20 pounds Central Confinement Services LLC and Mid-Plains Industries are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
