Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Upholds departmental policies and recommends new and improved policies and procedures to maintain/increase quality of service. Ensures new programs, systems, and procedures are documented fully. Creates and generates reports according to user required specifications. Assists supervisor in returning faulty equipment to vendor for repairs, consisting of obtaining an RMA number from the vendor, packing and labeling the faulty equipment for shipment, and delivering the package to the purchasing department for shipment. Installs network cables and connections when needed. Identifies and initiates resolutions to user problems associated with office automation equipment, hardware and software. Reports all such issues to the problem tracking software. Maintains software registration and currency and hardware inventory to ensure upgrades, preventative maintenance, and patches are performed as necessary. Maintains current technical expertise in microcomputer technology and utilizes state-of-the-art techniques troubleshooting/problem-solving techniques when accomplishing job duties. Maintains a positive working relationship and open communication with all Center For Orthopaedics associates to promote a quality work environment. Provides work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personal illness, vacation and/or education per clinic and departmental requirements. Upholds the enterprise policy guidelines as well as recommended new and improved guidelines to ensure compatibility and better service enterprise user. Accomplishes assigned tasks in an orderly, timely fashion with due concern toward the conservation of business resources such as employee time, equipment, and facilities. Maintains an adequate supply of forms and storage media. Observes current work processes through common interaction with users and suggests alternatives (manual and automated) that might increase operational efficiency or effectiveness. Maintains confidentiality of information related to patients, employees, financial data, information systems and any other areas as designed by Imperial Health policies. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS : High School diploma or equivalent is required. A+ certification is preferred. EXPERIENCE : More than one year of experience as a PC computer technician as well as significant Windows 11 Enterprise knowledge is required. SKILLS: 1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. O365 Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting hardware and software. Ability to use cable equipment, handle simple tools, diagnostics tools and telecommunication troubleshooting equipment. Communication skills Ability to work flexible hours. Ability to prioritize and handle multi-tasks in a fast-paced environment. Customer service skills ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS : Possible exposure to hazardous materials/conditions and infectious diseases. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS : Must be able to bend, stretch and walk. Prolonged sitting and/or standing may be required. Lifting of 50 - 100 pounds may be required.
