Job Details Job Location Admin Office - Gilbert, AZ Description Job Title Accounting Clerk Reports to Accounting Manager Location Central Office Contract None, 12 month calendar Pay range DOE Job Description: Benjamin Franklin Charter School is looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk for our Central Office Team located in Gilbert. Under the direction of our Accounting Manager, this position will be responsible for accounts payable, reconciliations, data entry and various other accounting functions. This position is full time, 40 hours per week, 12 months per year. Responsibilities: Perform general accounting and bookkeeping duties Manage accounts payable processes, including entering and processing vendor invoices, collecting W-9 forms, maintaining vendor relationships, etc. Manage physical vendor files as well as profiles in Quickbooks Record all bank transactions in accounting system and reconcile multiple bank accounts monthly Assist with year-end 1099 process and reporting Assist campus front office with cash deposits bi-weekly and ensure process is followed Pick up campus deposits bi-weekly *This will require travel to our four campus locations in Gilbert and Queen Creek Manage the product catalog in the payment processing platform that is used by the campuses Prepare checks for deposit and record in accounting system Assist school staff with inquiries regarding systems and processes Manage the credit card reconciliation process for multiple credit cards throughout the organization Other duties as required BFCS Core Values: Practice and Emulate Virtue Be Intellectually Curious Have a Growth Mindset Be Intentionally Positive Promote Civility Qualifications Qualifications: Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles Experience with accounting software, including QuickBooks (Desktop or Enterprise) Data entry Keen attention to detail and ability to keep records and files organized Competent collaborator and skilled cross-functional communicator Strong time manager with respect for deadlines Ability to identify errors and solve problems Decisive and critical thinker Must hold a valid IVP Fingerprint Card Must have a clean driving record. MVR required.
