In this role, you will share your knowledge as the Rail Division's Traveling Concierge, sharing all the amazing tours and features of our land-based operations in Denali National Park. Responsibilities Accompany a range of up to 88 guests per train car, may have up to 3 cars assigned based on scheduled shift. Give suggestions for dining, entertainment, optional excursions, and the following day's itinerary. Communicate with Denali area lodges regarding any special requests pertaining to the hotel, dietary, and mobility issues that may affect standard operating procedures at the lodge or with third-party vendors. Effectively manage manifests to keep an accurate record of tour availability for future dates. Routinely presents information for up to 88 guests at a time on a microphone. Complete handwritten tour sale vouchers fully and legibly. Regular entry of tours into a POS (point of sales) system. Complete all necessary paperwork such as daily reports, luggage counts, and sales reports. Assist in the reconciliation of all tour sales. Assist with Food & Beverage operations when needed. Requirements Must be able to obtain an Alaska Food Handlers Card. Must have a valid driver's license (not revoked or suspended) with no more than 2 moving violations. Must pass a pre-employment background check. Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available. Participates in HAP's sustainability program, aka "Sustain Alaska & the Yukon", and efforts by actively recycling (where available), reducing waste, and educating guests about our commitment to the environment. Participate in HAP's safety culture to ensure a safe workplace for all team members and a safe vacation experience for all guests. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals. Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
