Busser Job Title: Busser Reports To: General Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Summary: Sets and resets dining room tables. Assists with clearing tables, refilling water, general clean up in the restaurant Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Resets tables according to specifications of restaurant. Removes plates and silverware when all guests have finished. Sets up and breaks down dining room for each shift. Maintains service stations in a clean and orderly manner throughout shift. Performs all opening and closing side work as required. Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a manager at any time. Performs all side duties as assigned. Competency: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Skills - Busser must be able to clean tables promptly. Guest Service - Responds promptly to guest needs. Interpersonal - Provides a friendly and hospitable service to guests. Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and listens to guests; responds well to questions; Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent. Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; keeps commitments Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly. Stamina to work up to 40 hours each week, more if needed. Be able to work open, mid, and close shifts as required.
