OPEN UNTIL FILLED Estimated Start Date: Immediate Location: Maintenance and Facilities - West Pasco 11835 Treebreeze Drive, New Port Richey, FL 34654 Specialty: Site Development School Related Personnel (SRP) 245 Days Per Year Full Time, Benefit Eligible JOB SUMMARY Responsible for performing highly diversified craft trade activities with a focus on Site Development under general supervision. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Five (5) years job related experience in heavy equipment operation and tree trimming and working knowledge of stump grinding and irrigation. EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or Vocational Degree from an accredited institution Two years' experience of a skilled trade or general building maintenance OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS Must maintain a driving record that meets the standards of the District Safe Driver Plan. Driver's license must be maintained as a condition of continued employment. Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required for this position, temporary permit required to start. OTHER REQUIREMENTS All hires must pass the pre-employment drug screening according to the Federal Omnibus Transportation Employees Testing Act (OTETA). All hires must submit to and pass an initial drug test and subsequent random drug tests in accordance with the requirements of Florida Statute 112.0455 and the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.
