The Financials Application Director is responsible for defining, leading, and supporting all technology applications and processes for our growing broker-dealer and investment banking activities. This will include closely working with Apollo Capital Solutions (ACS) legal entity controllers. Apollo's ACS business is rapidly expanding into new areas, this role will help build scalable solutions and a stable platform to support ACS functions. Primary Responsibilities Act as the primary point of contact in Technology for the Corporate Accounting FinOps team. The ideal candidate will have experience as a technologist within the broker dealer and/or investment banking business and have the ability to support applications and integrations within processes. Lead integrations with third party providers to our ERP (PeopleSoft), and support critical business functions through daily P&L, capital calculations, financial statements generation, and regulatory reporting. Work closely with the business to determine strategic projects, small enhancements, and provide day-to-day production support, managing incidents and user queries. Provide technical direction for solutions, turning the complexity of processing financial transactions across various asset classes into highly scalable, valued-added services. Own the product roadmap, technology budgets, staffing and resource planning to deliver on strategic projects and enhancements. Drive change and implement new services and solutions, building governance & ownership around the new initiatives/processes. Ensure adherence to the standard project management framework to deliver projects on time and within budget. Drive software build through requirements gathering, technical/functional design, hands-on development, testing, and production deployment. Work collaboratively with other technology members and effectively leverage shared resources. Qualifications & Experience 10-15 years technology experience with a significant amount of this being in broker-dealer, investment banking or asset/investment management industry and having responsibility supporting the accounting and regulatory/financial reporting functions. Experience working in a highly complex, intense, publicly traded, global financial services company. Functional knowledge of ERP applications and integration touchpoints with various reporting tools is a plus. Understanding of integration tools such as ETLs and APIs. Must have experience using standard project methodologies including Waterfall, and Agile. Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills. Pay Range $190,000 - $250,000 The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
