We are looking to add a Big Data Lead with PM Skills to our team! This is a Full-Time position and work location is in Santa Clara, CA.Job Description:We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Big Data Lead with Project Management (PM) Skills to oversee our data initiatives and drive strategic projects. In this role, you will be responsible for leading big data projects from conception to completion, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing insights and updates to senior leadership. You will combine your expertise in big data technologies with strong project management skills to ensure the successful delivery of data-driven solutions that meet business needs.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage big data projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing, to ensure timely and successful delivery.Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and key stakeholders to design and implement scalable data solutions that meet business objectives.Create and maintain project plans, timelines, and status reports to track progress and address risks and issues municate project updates and data insights to senior leadership, including creating executive-level presentations and dashboards.Drive the development and implementation of best practices for data management, governance, and analytics.Serve as a point of contact between the data team and senior leadership, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights.Mentor and guide team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.Ensure alignment of data strategy with overall business goals and objectives.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.7+ years of experience in big data technologies and data management.Strong hands-on experience with big data tools and platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, NoSQL databases, etc.).Proven project management skills, with experience leading complex data projects from start to finish.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering updates to senior leadership.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Experience working in an Agile environment and familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence.PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
