Our client is currently seeking a Paralegal to join their team!Scope of Role:Location: Chappaqua, NYHours: M-F 9am to 5pmJob Engagement: ContractThe Paralegal Services Specialist assists the Senior Director Risk Management & Quality Assurance in coordinating the provision of comprehensive risk management services for all insurance, enterprise risk and medico-legal matters relating to the special tasks and activities of the department.This job will have the following responsibilities:Manages the occurrencepotential claims reporting program, closely reviewing andmonitoring occurrencesclaims and trending issues.Responsible for coordination of interviews, proactively gathering involveddocumentation and ensuring secure, protected and confidential file maintenance forlitigated matters.Responsible for notifying insurance carriers, claims TPA, physicians and attorneyswhen lawsuits are received.Coordinates document discovery, witness discovery, claims analysis, case management, and case closure.Coordinate and schedule high-level meetings and conference calls.Receive and coordinate all service of processManage and coordinate all legal requests for physicians.Maintains calendars to include coordination and scheduling of meetings, depositions,conference calls, sends calendar invites and reminders, reserves conference roomsPerforms other duties as assigned.Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelor's degreeParalegal Certificate5+ years of risk management legal experienceExperience with legal terms, laws and judiciary guidelinesNotary Preferred Interested in learning more?
