Roles and responsibilities include: Supporting all divisions; Opening and closing office; Customer service - on phone and in-person; Handling routine requests for information and/or program materials; Boot up computers; Register and licensing terminals as well as preparing register for sales; Check email, prepare mail (including mass mailings), disperse mail, filing; Provide applications and permits for youth group, backpack camping and parking; Data input, organize mileage, gas and diesel sheets and send to Hartford Office; Sell park passes, sport licenses, prepare SIMS reports prepare and make bank deposits; Closedown systems including setting alarm on building and other related duties. Possession of a valid license to apply pesticides. College training in a specific field. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification may be required by specific State facilities. Incumbents performing lifeguard services must have and retain an American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguarding Certification (includes CPR for the Professional Rescuer and Basic First Aid). An EMT or MRT certification may be substituted for the CPR and First Aid requirements. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Incumbents in this class must possess and maintain adequate physical strength and stamina to perform the duties of the class. 2. Incumbents performing lifeguard services must be able to demonstrate American Red Cross (ARC) waterfront lifeguarding swimming skills.
