Are you a Sourcing and Production expert with a passion for elevating legwear? Basic Resources is on the hunt for a Sourcing & Production Manager to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you'll be at the heart of our sourcing and production strategies, driving excellence and ensuring our products not only meet but exceed the brand's high standards. Reporting directly to the Senior Sourcing & Production Manager, you will be a key player in liaising with our agents and vendors, ensuring seamless coordination and timely delivery of high-quality products.What you'll do:Contribute to the design and implementation of allocation strategies that maximize product execution and cost-efficiency while minimizing risk.Drive cost negotiations with vendors to achieve our internal margin goals, ensuring we maintain competitive pricing without compromising quality.Oversee milestone calendars to guarantee deadlines are met, anticipate potential issues, and provide actionable solutions.Forge and nurture robust relationships with both internal teams and external partners to drive collaborative success.Collaborate with other brand managers to streamline production processes and ensure visibility on performance metrics across cross-functional vendors, enhancing overall awareness and efficiency.Ensure effective communication with vendors and agents to resolve any issues swiftly, keeping shipments on track. Work closely with the Imports and SalesPlanning teams to address and manage any delivery delays when necessary.Manage the ordering and tracking of top-of-production samples from overseas, ensuring they meet our high standards before shipment release.Review purchase orders to confirm accuracy in allocation, costing, and quantities.Collaborate with the Compliance team to ensure all necessary testing, certifications, and reports are completed before shipping.Engage in cross-functional meetings to identify best practices and opportunities for process enhancement.Mentor and guide one or more direct reports, fostering their professional growth and managing their workloads effectively.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree required.5+ years in sourcing, product development, or production, with a preference for experience in socks or knitwear.Proven track record in end-to-end product management, including product development, production, and sourcing.Exceptional ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external partners.Skilled in cost negotiation, strategic sourcing, and production planning.Experience working with international partners, with previous international travel preferred.Ability to break down complex problems, communicate insights, and propose strategic solutions.Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing team members.Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with PLM and SAP is a plus.Ability to work in the office 2-3 days a week.Annual salary starting $85,000.The disclosed salary range is commensurate with experience and does not reflect the total compensation package.
