Hudson by Avolta is seeking a Duty Free General Manager to lead our team and operations at Boston Logan International Airport.This Duty Free General Manager position is for you if you enjoy:Managing commercial activities and local relationships to maximize sales and profit.Promoting a brand image of excellence through strong work ethic, leading by example, and delivering consistent, high-quality customer service.Working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with categories including Beauty Products, High-End Liquor, Tobacco, Cigars, Confectionery, Watches, Jewelry, Accessories, and Luxury Goods.Your team is counting on you as a Duty Free General Manager to:Provide flexibility to work long or irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.Oversee 150+ employees, 8 stores, and a Duty Free Warehouse.Create a working environment that enhances the customer journey and engagement through service excellence, reserve and collect, loyalty programs, clienteling, Level Up, gate delivery, and other initiatives.Duty Free General Manager Key Accountabilities:Manage the shops within the operation, ensuring alignment with the company's short- and long-term interests and delivering the highest level of customer service.Collaborate with the Country General Manager and Regional Manager to set fiscal revenue, expense, and profit goals, as well as inventory levels.Analyze KPIs to identify issues affecting daily sales and implement corrective actions as anize and lead weekly and monthly meetings with operations teams, covering sales, promotions, categories, brands, HR, and more.Prepare weekly and monthly action plans based on meeting outcomes.Analyze promotion results, prepare reports, and propose action plans for the Country Commercial Team.Review sales targets by shop, category, and brand, comparing them to previous periods and budgets.Lead the TerminalStore Manager's team, ensuring cost control and taking necessary actions.Cultivate strong relationships with Airport authorities and coordinate SIP implementation and execution.Maintain a positive work ethos across all shops, identify training needs, and ensure proper staff levels for optimal customer service.Conduct performance evaluations and goal assessments.Be accountable for the P&L, analyzing monthly KPIs, income statements, balance sheets, and controlling exchange rates.Participate in determining investment and development plans.Collaborate with Supply Chain, Commercial, and Marketing teams to ensure optimal store levels, assortment, and marketing support.Work closely with the supply chain and logistics teams to manage inventory levels, stock replenishment, negative stock, destruction, and cycle counts.Promote Dufry as a brand within shops and ensure high customer service standards.Build and maintain strong relationships with Airport authorities and other external partners, including customs, vendors, and ACDBE partners.Participate with the RVP in new store openings and refurbishments.Required Qualifications:Multi-unit retail management experience.5+ years as a General Manager in a Duty Free Travel Retail environment or equivalent.Experience with beauty or luxury brands.Knowledge of international retail or consumer goods industry trends.Strong leadership skills and talent development abilities.Proven ability to build effective teams and motivate employees.Strong problem-solving, project management, analytical, and financial skills, including understanding and managing airport P&L statements.Familiarity with KPIs such as Spend per Passenger, ATV, UPT, etc.Experience implementing and controlling processes for compliance and audits (e.g., Customs, STEBS regulations).Experience ensuring a world-class customer journey in a Customer Experience environment.Proven experience in managing multi-unit, multi-category retail businesses.For additional information on Dufry by Avolta visit:by Avolta, Hudson by Avolta and HMSHost by Avolta are equal opportunity employers and do not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, membership in an employee organization, retaliation, parental status, military service, or other non-merit factors.All offers are contingent upon successful completion and passing of background checks andor employment verification results.
