Overview: Behavioral Health Mentor Hourly Range: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour/DOE Full-time , On-site position $1,000 Sign on Bonus Work Schedules: Sunday: 6:45 am- 10pm Monday-Wed: 4pm-10pm *Additional hours will be required as needed for training and meetings. Our Behavioral Health Mentors make a meaningful difference in the lives of adolescents in need of compassionate care and support. We are seeking dedicated individuals who are passionate about promoting mental wellness and providing support to teenagers and their families facing dynamic challenges back at home. As a Behavioral Health Mentor, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe and supportive environment for our students to grow, develop and apply transferable coping skills, and reconnect with peers, themselves, and their families using our proven and effective therapeutic approach. Responsibilities: Work various shifts with students to teach/model life skills and supervise household responsibilities. Develop and model positive relationships with students. Cultivate self-confidence, maturity, and accountability in students. Mediate peer relationships. Transport residents to appointments and activities. One or more cooking shifts/meal preparation for a group size of 15 or more. Participate in the daily schedule with the students as they go through workout, chores, and planned evening activities. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Preferred one year of experience working with adolescent populations. Recreation-related skills or interests. Experience in food preparation and cooking a plus. Attention to detail, flexible, and team player. Effective communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and Windows systems 21+ years of age or older High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D required; associates or bachelors in human services, psychology, criminal justice, or related field a plus, but not a requirement! Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen in concordance with Montana State Laws Ability to pass federal and state background checks. Current Montana drivers license or ability to obtain a Montana drivers license upon hire. Ability to perform CPR and First Aid Ability to apply provided training in safe verbal de-escalation and physical intervention with an upset of combative student. Ability to plan, implement, and adjust to program or daily adjustments. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: The ideal candidate will be a role model for adolescent girls by participating in training sessions, learning new skills, adapting to a flexible work schedule. This will need to be available to work a full time or part time schedule.
