Job FunctionThe purpose of this position is to oversee and provide input to all aspects of software quality assurance. This includes (but is not limited to) responsibility for the development, creation, maintenance and execution of test cases and test plans, as well as analysis of test results. This position will work with other employees to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.Specific Position ResponsibilitiesDisplays clear knowledge of test planning and test design methodologies and their application to the software development life cycleWork with management create and implement a formal QA process for IT departmentResponsible for entire QA process, develop test plans, execute test cases, analyze results and report bugs and errors to development teamReview, analyze and evaluate business user needs to incorporate into QA processListens effectively and follows work instructions under general directionProvides thorough and practical solutions to a variety of complex business problemsDemonstrates written and verbal skills that meet routine department needsLeads peers and subordinates with positive attitude Meets assigned task schedules and participates in quality review of own and others workProvides quality service in all areas of responsibilityAdditional duties and responsibilities as requiredDesirable Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree required. Degree in computer science preferred 2-4 years' experience as a software QA tester or similar roleMust possess experience as Quality Assurance tester or similar role. Should have experience with automated testing software and ability to document and troubleshoot errors
