Seeking an experienced Workers Comp Defense Attorney to join our client's mid-size firm in Chicago. As a Workers' Comp Defense Attorney you will be responsible for providing legal representation and counsel to companies defending workers' compensation claims. You will play a critical role in defending against the complex legal procedures and processes. This is an excellent opportunity to join a great law firm and make a meaningful impact for the companies we represent.Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)Responsibilities:Handle defense of workers' compensation cases from inception to resolution.Conduct thorough investigations to gather relevant evidence, including medical records, witness statements, and accident reports.Analyze and evaluate the merits of each case, identifying potential legal strategies and arguments.Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and benefits under workers' compensation laws.Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel, and other parties to seek favorable settlements.Prepare and represent clients in administrative hearings and court proceedings.Qualifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in the Illinois State Bar Association.Minimum 3+ yrs. experience practicing workers' compensation law.Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws, regulations, and procedures.Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.Why Join?Comprehensive Healthcare CoveragePTO PlanAnd More...
