MKD Electric is seeking an experienced Assistant Software Specialist . As part of this role... Assistant Software Specialist is responsible for providing preventative maintenance, repair services, and commissioning support on low, medium, and high voltage (Up to 500kV) electrical systems. The Assistant Software Specialist is required to have a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and components, as well as a fundamental understanding of the tools and processes required to complete system maintenance and repair activities. An Assistant Software Specialist is responsible for delivering high quality service and customer satisfaction, as well as working well with the team and providing support/coverage as per business needs. What you will do... •Coding/Programming •Information Technology •Verification of chain of custody of system alarms •Verification of IP Addresses •Setting IP Addresses as needed •Daily Reports •Safety protocols including: o Daily JSA o Attending a Daily Toolbox Talk o Weekly Safety Meeting •System Testing •Service orders - enter all pertinent job information (e.g., customer, time, actions taken, expenses) What you will need to succeed... •Computer savvy •Knowledge of coding/programming preferred •Comfortable working in construction environment •Ability to work with guidance •Familiar with communication protocols preferred •OK with flexible work schedules •Needs to be able to work in a busy environment •Must be able to work safely and adhere to all electrical safety core principals and procedures •Demonstrate the ability learn applicable business systems, complete all administrative responsibilities, and meet established deadlines •Demonstrate the willingness and ability to complete all on-boarding training requirements and •Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment •Good communication skills; enjoy teamwork •Valid Driver's License •Good Attitude •Open to new ideas Preferred experience... •This is an entry level position. Experience in electrical field testing is preferred. •Microsoft suite •Electrical installation experience a plus •Modbus or Profibus knowledge a plus Physical demands... •Requires standing for extended period with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors.
