Overview Come Join the Team - Forefront Dermatology is Looking for an Immediate Hire Biologics and Phone Triage Coordinator Needed Monday-Friday 8-5 NO WEEKENDS The Biologics and Phone Triage Coordinator is responsible for all clinic biologics and phone triage duties. The coordinator will initiate and assist the patients and clinic with all prior authorizations and prescription protocols for all biologic medications, prepares all necessary paperwork to submit to insurances to obtain approval for prescribed medication and ensure timely delivery for patient. The coordinator will work closely with the physician and pharmaceutical representatives to stay up to date on proper treatment plans and drug information. The coordinator will be responsible for managing all calls that are routed to the Nurse Line and all faxes in the Nurse in box and respond in a timely manner. Responsibilities Biologic Responsibilities Responsible for initiating and completing all prior authorizations for biologics. Submit all biologic RXs to appropriate specialty pharmacies. Obtain necessary clinical information from the medical record, provider, and assistance program to process proper authorizations. Communicate with patients on all medication approvals, denials, and patient compliance. Document in the medical record all communication with patients in regards to medication and compliance. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments following company protocol, provider's treatment plans and medication intervals. Schedule patient education via biologic company. Ensure all medications have been received prior to patient's appointment. Coordinate meetings with pharmaceutical representative to discuss biologics in detail and discuss the proper channels to ensure patient receives biologics in a timely manner. Adherence to compliance and completion of compliance training. Manage and complete MIPS dashboard relative to psoriasis and biologic medication. Path Relating to Biologics: Contact patient with pathology results when related to biologics. Complete pathology labs and document in medical record. Schedule patient follow up in regards to pathology results. Phone Triage Responsibilities Complete all incoming phone calls, faxes, medication request, and prior authorizations for medication. Utilize task for communicating with providers and office staff. Manage and complete task by end of each work day. Schedule patient appointments as necessary. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Minimum Post High School education in a medical support field: Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Nurse is required. Knowledge Skills and Abilities 1-2 years of recent experience in a medical office; dermatology and biologics experience is preferred. Must be detail oriented. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Demonstrated leadership experience. Must be able to demonstrate leadership by serving as an example to others with regard to professional behavior, handling multiple tasks, maintaining a positive attitude, and in response to organizational change. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required. Must be able to learn new software quickly. Must possess excellent self-management of task, organizational, and computer skills. Ability to work independently, effectively and cooperatively with staff, board, clients, and the public. Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team. Ability to use time productively and contribute to high levels of company operational efficiency and effectiveness. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
