About the job : As a Direct SupportProvider, you will provide training and assistance to people that includes, butnot limited to, daily personal cares, medication administration, communityactivities, money management, meal preparation, laundry assistance, and leisureactivities. Essential job responsibilities include: Monitor and assist people with personal cares Instruct and assist people in food preparation,clean-up, and sanitary practices Encourage grooming and dress according to theperson's preferences, cultural considerations and social norms Administer medications and treatments oncetrained Communicate concerns, suggestions, potentialproblems to supervisors in an accurate, prompt, and respectful manner Chart daily program information Complete cleaning and assist persons served incleaning tasks Required Qualifications: Must be 17 years of age or as dictated bylicensure Must pass DHS background clearance Must have valid driver's license Must be able to read, write, comprehend andcommunicate in English Benefit Highlights: Employer contribution towards group medicalplan single premium 401(a) Retirement Savings Plan with a 5% employerannual contribution.
