About the Facility - Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center - Indian Health Service The Mission of the Sisseton Indian Health Service Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center (WWKMHCC) is to provide the best possible healthcare services to the patients on the Lake Traverse Reservation In South Dakota. Facility Address: 100 Lake Traverse Drive, Sisseton, SD 57262 Dentist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to) Perform dental cleanings, tooth extractions, tooth preservation and any other basic dental procedures commonly performed in an outpatient setting and commiserate with the dental providers training. The Dentist shall efficiently navigate via electronic medical records for a-prescribing, documentation, and orders including referrals. Interview and examine patients, review past medical history, and request and or perform diagnostic tests and examinations deemed necessary to obtain all possible information related to each case. Should prescribe medications as indicated. Will instruct and counsel patients and family members as required and does so in a culturally sensitive manner. The Dentist will refer patients to appropriate contract in those facilities, providing pertinent clinical information for dental care and diagnostic dental procedures that cannot be adequately provided at the Uintah and Ouray Service Unit. Will assure preparation of appropriate medical records for all patients seen to assure the accumulation and organization of all pertinent clinical data needed to provide comprehensive medical care. Will workplaces with Allied health professionals to utilize and coordinate the services of other health care professionals in the management of the patient's dental problems. Will provide minor dental office surgery such as drainage of a tooth abscess. The Dentist will provide office based dental care from childhood to adulthood. Dentist - REQUIREMENTS Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as dentist after dental school. One year of Fellowship can count as this experience. Education: Must have ADDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school program, doctorate is required. Must hold a current, active, unrestricted state dentist license from any of the 50 United States or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Must hold a current, unrestricted DEA license to prescribe medications. Shall be certified and hold current active license in Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
