Part Time - Option of every or every other weekend Saturday & Sunday, 5:30a - 2p Saturday & Sunday, 2p - 10p (Dementia and Alzheimer experience is preferred but not required) Temp/PRN 12 hour shifts: 6p-6a SUMMARY Assists residents with prescribed medical treatment and personal care services by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned. Takes and records patients' vital signs Applies compresses, ice bags, and hot water bottles Observe residents and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to medical personnel in charge. Assist with self-administered specified medication and notes time and amount on residents' records Cleans equipment and supplies Monitors food trays for prescribed diet Records food and fluid intake and output, as required Answers residents' calls Inventories and requisitions supplies SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises 1 or more employees in the Resident Healthcare Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
