LHH is working closely with a high-end corporate boutique law firm on a search for a junior corporate associate to join its sophisticated corporate transactional practice in Boston, MA. This is a great opportunity for an associate who is looking to leave the BigLaw lifestyle for a more sustainable working environment while still being compensated highly.Established by former BigLaw partners seeking to practice law in a different way, this firm represents entrepreneurs and high-growth businesses on strategic transactions. The firm is seeking an associate with significant experience working on ECVC, PE and M&A transactions trained in a "BigLaw" environment. The successful candidate will work closely with more senior attorneys on venture capital, private equity, and other debt and equity financings, M&A, strategic licensing and other corporate work. The work will include conducting diligence reviews and preparing related disclosure schedules; drafting acquisition and financing agreements and related documentation; supporting regulatory, risk and compliance matters; drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial and licensing contracts; interacting with clients as an advisor; and supporting all aspects of deals from start to finish.Qualifications:Candidates must have at least 2 years of associate level training at a large global law firmTrained to handle corporate, private equity and M&A work, including venture capital, private equity and other financings, acquisitions and divestitures, licensing and general contract negotiationJD requiredTop academic achievement Admitted to practice in MAPerks include:Truly a lifestyle firm with very low billable hour expectationsCompetitive base salary relative to expected billable hours Strong bonus programFast-growing boutique corporate firmSubstantial responsibility and client contact from day oneCan offer quicker partnership track for most gifted attorneysThe anticipated base salary range is between $200,000 to $205,000, depending on experience.
