This can be a remote position BUT you must live within 50-miles of Detroit, MI Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology diploma or equivalents, normally with seven plus years' related working experience from the graduation level.Applicant must demonstrate the ability to design and implement a complete control system with no assistance.Effective written and verbal communication skills to Project Management and customers are required.Ability to work in a team environment is required.Scope of Function:Under administrative review, the CDE III designs, develops and supervises most aspects of electrical controls systems, equipment and machinery. The CDE III puts additional focus on improving relationships with customers, and continues to grow the business with hisher actions. A CDE III is expected to complete assigned projects on schedule, on budget and in accordance with all relevant specifications.Breakdown of Focus Areas:Up to 40% of time spent in ClientPeople Management.Up to 40% of time spent as a Solutions Architect (building a framework to meet customer needs and applies appropriate industry standards).20% of time spent as a developer (builds and programs actual system components and follows applicable standards, as directed by Project Managers).Duties and Responsibilities:Sets an example to other employees by means of arriving promptly on schedule, keeping a neat and organized work area, and maintaining a personal calendar, journal and task list.Meets weekly with Project Managers for a detailed review of all current tasks and projects.Possesses expert level engineering concepts, and easily works with several PLC and peripheral protocols with limited to no dividual continues to strive to grow technically and professionally.Maintains a self-directed enthusiasm for new concepts and technologies, utilizing unassigned time for training exercises and developing technical guides and tools for less experienced Engineers.Demonstrates the ability to concept a successful controls system from scratch, and develop the essential drawing package needed to build the designed system.Earns the trust and confidences of customers, and actively initiates return business with customers in which they are working with.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Supervises the scheduling, installation, commissioning, operation, troubleshootingtestingdebug, and support of complex automation projects.Ability to be responsive to customers' demands and requirements.Ability to provide the most effective solutions to management and customers.Ability to proficiently operate in multiple software platforms is dividual is experienced in common peripheral equipment (Robotics, Vision, etc...)
