What's in it for you?Competitive payFull-time benefits & 401KVacation & Sick timeEmployee discountsFlexible scheduleRoom for advancementWorking with PETS!!!Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsure proper care of all pets in store as outlined in the Animal Care ManualMaintain a high level of professionalism and positive attitude in the workplace, including conducting oneself in an appropriate manner when communicating verbally, in writing or by email.Demonstrate a calm demeanor during periods of high volume, events and manage smooth transitions to keep store operating according to Pet Supermarket StandardsMaintain inventory control, safety, loss prevention and expense control as outlined in Loss Prevention StandardsProtect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean working environmentAccountable for financial reporting and operational metrics standards as outlined in Financial Reporting BinderMaintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirementsFollow, enforce, and train all employees on all company policies and proceduresImplementing all operational and merchandising direction that is communicated from the Corporate OfficeFully accountable for execution of sales, service, and customer experience initiatives in storeConsistently demonstrate excellent leadership and coaching skillsCultivate long term relationshipsPromote and market the businessAbility to work a flexible work schedule which will include morning, evenings, weekends andor holidaysAbility to work a rotating schedule that includes the following:  2 evening shifts per week1 full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) every 3 weeksSaturday and Sunday twice a monthAbility to work a minimum of 45 hours per week CompetenciesProven ability to delegate and follow through on goals and objectivesDemonstrates excellent customer service skillsProven leadership and training skillsExperience with merchandisingStrong verbal communicationAbility to move throughout the store unassisted to provide customer service or perform tasks in any part of the store for up to 8 hourEducation andor ExperienceMust possess a minimum of 5+ years in retail establishment in Retail Store ManagementSupervising a minimum of 8 employeesTraining employees on company policies and proceduresCapacity for understanding inter-team conflicts and escalating when necessaryClear and persuasive verbal and written communicationWorking knowledge of POS system preferredRequirementsMust possess a valid driver's licenseAccess to a motor vehicleEmployee Management and DevelopmentRecruiting, developing and managing high-performing teamsInspire and engage employees by motivating the team to succeedLead by exampleObserve and coach employee to provide feedback around sales techniques and providing excellent customer serviceDevelop employees for growth and promotion by delegating appropriate responsibilities and inspecting completionDevelop and execute individual development plans for store employeesPet Supermarket is an equal opportunity employer and Drug Free Work Place
